Rebecca Wyatt

Rebecca is a fully qualified, registered and insured Chartered Physiotherapist specialising in Animal Physiotherapy, Rehabilitation & Rider Biomechanics

An introduction to a life of physiotherapy started at the age of 15 following riding accidents which lead to an inability to compete in athletics and dancing. Through being involved with a physiotherapist for both her own injuries but also that of her horse the interest and intrigue in Physiotherapy was ignited leaving Rebecca on a path set to become a physiotherapist. Rebecca completed a BSc Hons in Physiotherapy from the Univeristy of Plymouth in 2010, further achieving a Distinction in Veterinary Physiotherapy on the MSc programme from the University of the West of England in 2015.

A background of competing horses and teaching has given vital knowledge and understanding of the requirements for each equine discipline and Rebecca uses this to support her sessions. This alongside a history of working in the NHS, private musculoskeletal clinics and the Riding for the Disabled has enabled Rebecca to combine a career of Physiotherapy with a passion for our 4-legged friends.

“I truly believe every animal has the right to feel comfort and joy in everything they do. Be it working, competing or just being a loving companion, no animal should unnecessarily suffer or miss out. Physiotherapy offers this opportunity; alongside medicinal fields it permits one to move freely, act comfortably and know no boundaries when it comes to achieving quality of life."
